Leadership Series

 

Offered by the Civic & Community Engagement Minor, the Leadership Series is a new course offering designed to prepare students to be the leaders of today and tomorrow. This exciting new opportunity at UC Irvine is designed to ignite your passion for leadership and community impact! Imagine embarking on a transformative journey where you can unlock your full potential as a community leader. Our innovative 2-class sequence is designed to equip you with the skills, knowledge, and mindset to become a catalyst for change in your local and global communities. Through immersive experiences and expert guidance, you will harness the power of effective communication, collaboration, and ethical decision-making to shape a brighter future.

The Leadership Series is open to all undergraduate students, and is required for students completing the Leadership Track of the CCE Minor. Currently the Leadership series consists of two 4-unit courses:

• Uni Stu 85A – Leading from Within
  Students examine characteristics and behaviors of effective leaders, study the history and theoretical framework for understanding effective leadership, and examine their own leadership strengths.
• Uni Stu 85B – Leading Others
  Students examine best practices and learn goal setting, diagnosing performance, designing solutions, and recognizing relevant differences within a team environment.
