Within these few short months, my work has helped develop and enhance my writing, archival research, communication, and educational skills. Moreover, the chance to explore such a historic city as Washington, D.C. with fellow UC students has been invaluable to making me feel more at home in an unfamiliar setting. I am more than glad to have formed bonds with other students and interns through UCDC and the National Archives. Living in our nation’s capital and working at this site has been an amazing experience that certainly exceeded my expectations of a summer internship. It is an incredible, one of a kind opportunity that I hope other students will take as they embark on their career paths.
