California Capital Fellows

The California Capital Fellows Programs hosted by Sacramento State are nationally recognized public policy fellowships which offer unique experiences in policy-making and development in each branch of government.

Capital Fellows are placed at some of the highest levels of California state government and assist state legislators, senior-level executive staff, and court administrators with a broad range of public policy issues and projects and are typically given assignments with a significant amount of responsibility and challenges.

Recent college graduates and mid-career professionals of all academic disciplines, backgrounds, and levels of experience, who are interested in beginning a career in public service and policy, are encouraged to apply.

Applications do not require institutional nomination/endorsement, but the UCI Scholarship Opportunities Program currently supports applicants through strategic advising and draft review.

Applications for the Capital Fellows 2024-25 cohort are open through December 4, 2023.
